WHO CAN APPLY?

All national and international researchers, start-ups, and entrepreneurs who are part of and collaborate in the INCM Innovation Network.

Joining the INCM Innovation Network is simple and online by filling out the form. At no cost, membership can be requested by all public or private entities wishing to work closely together in the development of R&D projects and innovative solutions in the INCM’s areas of activity.

PREVIOUS EDITIONS

1st EDITION

“Secret Paper – An Innovative and Low Cost Approach” was the winning idea of the IN3+ Award, developed by the team coordinated by researchers Elvira Fortunato and Rodrigo Martins, from NOVA School of Science and Technology. This project currently has its own brand – ALMASCIENCE, Beyond Paper – and with several initiatives underway in the health, marketing and sustainability sectors.

Second place was awarded to the idea “Coinage of Total or Partly Transparent Coins” from the Institute of Mechanical Engineering of the Instituto Superior Técnico and an honorable mention to the idea “Decrease in Bacterial Colonization in Metallic Currency”, presented by a team of researchers composed of Telmo Santos, from NOVA School of Science and Technology, Carla Carvalho, from the Institute of Bioengineering and Biosciences of the Instituto Superior Técnico, and Maria José Carvalho, from the Center for Ecology, Evolution and Environmental Alterations, Faculty of Sciences, University of Lisbon.

2nd Edition

“ATLAS – Autonomous Transport for Logistic Automatic System ”was the winning idea of the IN3+ Award, which proposed the creation of a system based on collaborative robotics and industry 4.0. Developed in partnership with the UNINOVA Research Center, NOVA School of Science and Technology, it aims at improving internal logistics and issuing Portuguese citizen cards and electronic passports.

The ideas that won the 2nd and 3rd place were, respectively, “Manufacture of Commemorative Coins through Additive Technologies”, presented by a team of researchers from the Institute of Mechanical Engineering of the Instituto Superior Técnico, and “BlockCarPollution – use of Public and Shared Transports using Blockchain ”, presented by elements from the University of Aveiro and the company Ubiwhere.
