WHO CAN APPLY?<\/h1>\n

All national and international researchers, start-ups, and entrepreneurs who are part of and collaborate in the INCM Innovation Network.<\/p>\n

Joining the INCM Innovation Network is simple and online by filling out the form. At no cost, membership can be requested by all public or private entities wishing to work closely together in the development of R&D projects and innovative solutions in the INCM’s areas of activity.<\/p>\n

The IN3+ Award aims to select and reward ideas that enable the creation of innovative solutions, and that can integrate the activities associated with INCM’s corporate purpose.<\/p>\n

The ideas presented will be evaluated by the Competition Jury, with the finalist ideas being publicly presented by the candidates.<\/p>\n

The winning projects will be awarded a global prize of 1 Million Euros, distributed in the following order, according to the place reached after the evaluation by the jury: <\/p>\n

1st EDITION<\/h5>\n

\u201cSecret Paper – An Innovative and Low Cost Approach\u201d was the winning idea of the IN3+ Award, developed by the team coordinated by researchers Elvira Fortunato and Rodrigo Martins, from NOVA School of Science and Technology. This project currently has its own brand – ALMASCIENCE, Beyond Paper – and with several initiatives underway in the health, marketing and sustainability sectors.<\/p>\n

Second place was awarded to the idea “Coinage of Total or Partly Transparent Coins” from the Institute of Mechanical Engineering of the Instituto Superior T\u00e9cnico and an honorable mention to the idea “Decrease in Bacterial Colonization in Metallic Currency”, presented by a team of researchers composed of Telmo Santos, from NOVA School of Science and Technology, Carla Carvalho, from the Institute of Bioengineering and Biosciences of the Instituto Superior T\u00e9cnico, and Maria Jos\u00e9 Carvalho, from the Center for Ecology, Evolution and Environmental Alterations, Faculty of Sciences, University of Lisbon.<\/p>\n

\u201cATLAS – Autonomous Transport for Logistic Automatic System \u201dwas the winning idea of the IN3+ Award, which proposed the creation of a system based on collaborative robotics and industry 4.0. Developed in partnership with the UNINOVA Research Center, NOVA School of Science and Technology, it aims at improving internal logistics and issuing Portuguese citizen cards and electronic passports.\n <\/p>\n
